At that time a very thirsty goat passed by the well and saw the fox there. She asked the fox what he was doing there. The cunning fox replied that he had himself jumped into the well. The fox at once jumped on her back, and with another jump he was out of well. The fox smiled at the poor goat and went his way leaving behind the goat to repent.

Unfortunately, when he was crossing a dense part of the forest, his long, pointed horns got entangled in a bush. He tried his best to disentangle himself but in vain. Now he started cursing his beautiful horns. He was struggling madly to get free when the hounds overtook him. They pounced upon him and tore him to pieces. Thus his thin ugly legs which he despised took him away from the danger. But his favourite horns proved the cause of his death.

It was trying to reach the roof of the cave where it had a cobweb. It made six attempts to reach its web but every time it slipped down. Now the king got interested and watched the spider carefully. He was astonished to see that spider did not lose heart but continued its efforts to reach up at the top. At the seventh attempt the spider was successful in its attempt of reaching its web. This incident boosted up the spirit of King Bruce. He gained new strength and fresh courage. He gathered his forces and fought another battle. This time he fought with new vigour and enthusiasm and was ultimately successful in making his country free.

Making pottery on the potter's wheel is called “throwing”. The thrower is a very skillful workman. But there is another method of shaping articles out of clay, “moulding”. A plaster mould is made and the clay is pressed into it. This a quicker and less difficult way and must be used to make things like handles, but all the most beautiful pottery is thrown. When a piece of pottery is taken of the wheel, it is put aside to dry, after which a design may be painted on it with special colours that will stand great heat; it is then ready to be fired. This is done in a large oven or kiln. The pieces of pottery are placed in earthenware tubs called 'sagger' so that the flames cannot touch the pottery.

In December, 1930 Dr. Muhammad Iqbal was invited to preside over the annual meeting of the All India Muslim League at Allahabad. In his address he openly opposed the idea of power-sharing together of Hindus and Muslims as one nation. He declared that the move to apply one constitution to both the Hindus and Muslims would result in a civil war. He wanted to see Punjab, Sind, Baluchistan and NWFP a single state for the Muslims,so that they should live according to the teaching of Islam.
